Don’t Change for Me. Change With Me. (The How)
The real work of change isn’t shouting for it. It’s bleeding for it together.
Last week I ended with this:
If you’re asking for change at work, or at home, or in your own soul, are you willing to change with it?
Because if not, you’re not asking for change. You’re asking for control.
That’s where most people stop. They point fingers. They make noise. They expect someone else to carry the burden while they stay comfortable. Change doesn’t work that way. It’s not a transaction. It’s shared pain. Shared effort. Shared growth.
So let’s talk about how that actually happens.

Leaders: Stop Outsourcing Growth
Late in my career, I had a boss tell essentially tell me, “You need to be more of a hard-ass to your team. That’s how things get done.
”
Here’s the truth. I didn’t lead with fear. I didn’t lead with intimidation. I built teams through empathy. Through listening. Through building an environment where we could do world-class creative work and still enjoy our lives. Was it perfect? No. Did it take a toll on me? Yes. But it was real, and it worked.
